Specimen Management Associate

The Specimen Management Associate at Eurofins is responsible for processing incoming specimens, capturing all relevant data, and documenting any deviations to ensure high-quality specimen services. This role is integral to maintaining the chain of custody from receipt to the next service destination, ensuring full accountability and traceability at all times. Key responsibilities include receiving and unpacking shipments, maintaining appropriate specimen temperatures during registration, and entering subject demographics into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The associate ensures specimen quality meets expectations, documents any deviations, and transfers specimens to their next service destination. Additional duties involve preparing and completing specimen shipments, adhering to timeline commitments for shipping and destruction, and ensuring proper storage of samples utilizing the LIMS system.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma, with an associate's or technical degree preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in a production environment, preferably in healthcare, is required, along with experience working with enterprise-grade applications, ideally LIMS. The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, flexibility to work weekends, the ability to multitask, set priorities, and work accurately under deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is also desired.
