Sports & Entertainment Partnerships Manager
The Sports & Entertainment Partnerships Manager at WPP Media is responsible for planning, delivering, and optimizing partnership activities across sports, entertainment, live experiences, and cultural platforms. This role requires a combination of cultural awareness, strong organizational skills, and operational excellence to ensure partnerships are executed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The manager serves as a trusted day-to-day operator for internal teams, rights holders, and clients, ensuring smooth workflows, clear communication, and strong delivery. This position reports to the Partnerships Director.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day client communications, translating briefs into deliverables, timelines, and next steps, and supporting the development of responses to briefs and renewal materials. The manager coordinates and tracks partnership assets, rights usage, and deliverables, manages timelines, run sheets, flighting schedules, and production requirements, and supports content shoots, creator involvement, and on-ground activations, which may involve occasional travel. Additionally, the role involves assisting with budget tracking, invoicing, forecasting, and reconciliation, supporting value tracking and negotiations with rights holders, and coordinating with procurement, legal, and suppliers on contracts and compliance.
The ideal candidate possesses 2–4+ years of experience in partnerships, sponsorship, branded content, or project management within an agency, brand, rights holder, or media owner environment. Strong project management capabilities, including managing timelines, workflows, approvals, and documentation, are essential. An understanding of commercial processes such as budgets, value tracking, and invoicing is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple workstreams while maintaining high attention to detail, and a calm, organized, solutions-focused approach under pressure are also necessary.
