Databricks is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Unity Catalog, the metadata and governance foundation for the Lakehouse. This role involves designing and launching new governance and security capabilities, defining platform services, and collaborating with enterprise customers to understand their needs. The position requires coordinating product activities from vision to implementation, including developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, and working with engineering teams to build and launch products. The role also involves coordinating with various internal stakeholders to ensure product success.

Key responsibilities include designing and launching new governance and security capabilities as part of Unity Catalog, defining and building new platform services that enable Databricks’ data and AI product teams to easily add workload-specific governance capabilities, and taking new features from ideation to full launch and rollout. This includes developing marketing plans, field enablement, and broad customer adoption across all segments. The role also involves bringing insights about the data governance persona, customers, and the market to the engineering and leadership teams by working closely with customers and partners.

Required qualifications include over 5 years of enterprise B2B product management experience, an educational background in computer science or a related engineering field, and experience working with databases and/or data warehouses, security, and catalogs. Experience building user-facing products for data analysts, scientists, and/or engineers is also required. A strong track record of delivering products with cross-functional teams common to the enterprise software industry is essential. Experience working closely with enterprise customers and ISV partners in the data market is also desired.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $109,500 to $194,000 USD, with eligibility for annual performance bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits and perks.
