Databricks is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Unity Catalog, the metadata and governance foundation for the Lakehouse. This role involves coordinating all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging large enterprise customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders to ensure product success.

The Senior Product Manager will design and launch new governance and security capabilities as part of Unity Catalog. They will define and build new platform services that enable Databricks’ data and AI product teams to easily add workload-specific governance capabilities that enhance the value of Unity Catalog and the Lakehouse. Additionally, they will take new features from ideation and exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including a marketing plan, field enablement, and broad customer adoption across all segments. The role also involves bringing insights about the data governance persona, customers, and the market to the engineering and leadership team by working closely with customers and partners.

Candidates should have over 5 years of enterprise B2B Product Management experience, with an educational background in computer science or a related engineering field. Experience working with databases and/or data warehouses, security, and catalogs is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience building user-facing products for Data Analysts, Scientists, and/or Engineers, and a strong track record of delivering products with cross-functional teams common to the enterprise software industry. Experience working closely with enterprise customers and ISV partners in the data market is also required.

The compensation for this role ranges from $189,700 to $265,600 per year. Databricks offers a comprehensive benefits package, including eligibility for annual performance bonuses, equity, and other perks.
