Cellanome is seeking a Senior or Staff Scientist in Computational Biology to lead computational analysis efforts within our R&D team. The successful candidate will partner with interdisciplinary scientists to design experiments, develop data collection strategies, and interpret complex, multimodal biological datasets generated by the Cellanome platform. Responsibilities include applying machine learning and statistical modeling to extract meaningful insights, leading end-to-end analysis of datasets, and translating findings into strategic recommendations that shape platform development priorities. Additionally, the role involves supporting the development and optimization of analytical pipelines and interactive tools for data processing.

Candidates must hold a PhD in a quantitative field such as bioinformatics, computational biology, physics, or mathematics, with at least five years of relevant experience. Demonstrated expertise in single-cell sequencing analysis and a strong background in molecular biology, cellular biology, genetics, or biochemistry are essential. Proficiency in R and Python, including data visualization libraries, and experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub are required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment are also necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a track record of scientific contributions through publications or conference presentations, experience developing production-grade R/Python analysis packages, familiarity with foundation models applied to biological data, and experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS. Experience in analyzing imaging data, including fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry, is also advantageous.

Cellanome offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000 per year, determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills and experience.
