Staff FinOps Engineer
NetDocuments is seeking a Staff FinOps Engineer to lead cloud financial operations across AWS and Azure. In this role, you will drive financial governance, cost visibility, and optimization strategies across a large-scale multi-cloud SaaS environment, partnering closely with CloudOps, Engineering, Finance, and leadership teams to improve operational efficiency and maximize business value.
Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining cost allocation models, tagging standards, and governance frameworks that enable accurate, actionable financial visibility. You will develop and enforce cloud financial policies, standards, and operational best practices across Engineering and CloudOps teams. Additionally, you will own and manage CloudZero configuration, including taxonomy, tagging governance, and cost allocation rules, delivering actionable reporting and analysis for various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud financial operations, with experience in AWS and Azure environments. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and infrastructure tooling is essential for automating governance and reporting workflows. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive adoption of emerging FinOps standards.
