Staff Product Designer
GlossGenius is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead design initiatives within their Core product area, focusing on empowering beauty and wellness businesses with seamless, reliable tools. The role involves collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and execute key product experiences, including scheduling, client and team management, and payment processing. As AI continues to reshape product development, the designer will play a pivotal role in integrating intelligent features that enhance the user experience.
Key responsibilities include owning the entire design process—from strategy to execution—across Core product features within the GlossGenius app. This encompasses constructing user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, as well as identifying and designing AI-powered product experiences that reduce friction for small business owners. The designer will also lead user interviews to inform product design strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI, or related fields, with a strong background in designing booking platforms, scheduling tools, team management, or financial/payment products. Proficiency in advanced prototyping tools such as Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, or InVision is required. Experience leveraging AI tools to shape design strategy and deliver impactful AI-driven experiences is highly desirable. A passion for empowering small business owners and a high level of empathy for customers are essential.
The starting base salary for this role in New York ranges from $215,000 to $258,000, complemented by target equity and benefits.
