Staff Product Manager, Ads Optimization
As a Staff Product Manager for Ads Optimization at Nextdoor, you will lead the strategy and roadmap for enhancing campaign performance at scale. This role is integral to the Monetization Team, which empowers businesses of all sizes to connect meaningfully with their local communities through our advertising platform. Your work will directly impact advertiser ROI, revenue growth, and platform efficiency.
Your primary responsibilities will include defining and evolving bidding systems, budget pacing frameworks, delivery optimization, and intelligent automation capabilities. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Revenue teams to shape experimentation strategies, define model success criteria, and translate model performance into advertiser value. Additionally, you will develop advertiser experiences that reduce friction and improve outcomes, ensuring optimization capabilities are intuitive and compelling.
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in advertising technology and marketplace optimization. A deep understanding of ad auction dynamics, bid optimization, budget pacing, and delivery systems is essential. Comfort in discussing machine learning models, experimentation frameworks, ranking systems, and system architecture with technical teams is required. Strong cross-functional leadership and excellent communication skills are also necessary.
Compensation for this role ranges from $170,000 to $250,000 annually, depending on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. A meaningful equity grant is expected, with quarterly vesting beginning within three months of the start date.
