Staff Product Manager, Search & Monetization
The Staff Product Manager, Search & Monetization, will lead the strategy and execution for search within the Firefox Desktop browser across Windows, macOS, and Linux. This role is integral to the Firefox Desktop Search & Monetization team, focusing on delivering high-quality, privacy-respecting search experiences that drive user engagement and revenue. Key responsibilities include owning and driving the product strategy for search to enhance engagement and revenue. The role involves leading end-to-end experimentation across browser search access points, default search experiences, and monetization surfaces. Collaborating with Data Science, the manager will define clear success metrics, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable decisions. Additionally, partnering with Business Development is essential to support search partnerships and ensure product execution aligns with contractual and strategic commitments.
Candidates should have over five years of product management experience, including ownership of revenue-impacting product areas. Proven experience in leading experimentation programs and driving measurable business outcomes is required. Strong analytical skills, fluency with product analytics tools and SQL, and experience leading cross-functional teams are essential. The ability to balance user needs, privacy considerations, and business objectives, along with excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders, is also necessary.
Compensation for this role varies by location. In the United States, the salary ranges from $138,000 to $217,000 USD, depending on the tier location. In Canada, the salary ranges from $116,000 to $171,000 CAD, also depending on the tier location.
