Staff Product Manager, Search & Monetization
Mozilla Corporation is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of search functionalities within the Firefox Desktop browser across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. This role is integral to the Firefox Desktop Search & Monetization team, which focuses on delivering high-quality, privacy-respecting search experiences that drive user engagement and revenue. Given that search is a fundamental feature in any browser and constitutes a significant portion of Firefox's revenue, this position is pivotal to Mozilla's mission of fostering an open and accessible internet.
The Staff Product Manager will be responsible for developing and driving the product strategy for search within Firefox Desktop, aiming to enhance search engagement and revenue. Key responsibilities include leading comprehensive experimentation across browser search access points, default search experiences, and monetization surfaces. The role also involves defining clear success metrics in collaboration with Data Science, analyzing results, and translating insights into actionable decisions. Additionally, the manager will partner with Business Development to support search partnerships, ensuring product execution aligns with contractual and strategic commitments. Navigating complex trade-offs between user experience, privacy principles, technical constraints, and revenue outcomes is also a critical aspect of this role.
Candidates should possess at least 5 years of product management experience, including ownership of revenue-impacting product areas. Proven experience in leading experimentation programs and driving measurable business outcomes is essential. Strong analytical skills, fluency with product analytics tools and SQL, and experience leading cross-functional teams are required. The ability to balance user needs, privacy considerations, and business objectives, along with excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders, are also necessary qualifications.
