Staff Rust Developer (m/f/d)
Affinidi is seeking a solution-oriented Staff Software Engineer (Backend) with deep expertise in Rust to lead the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for the Affinidi Elements platform. In this role, you will collaborate with global teams across product, design, infrastructure, architecture, and engineering to enhance and develop a multi-component platform. Your responsibilities will include designing, architecting, and building quality systems, as well as hands-on coding, performance testing, and integration.
Key responsibilities include building and delivering secure, high-quality features and improvements for the Affinidi Elements Platform using Rust. You will influence architectural direction and long-term technical strategy while staying hands-on with development. Designing and implementing solutions to complex, large-scale technical challenges, identifying and driving critical improvements in product quality, security, and performance, and mentoring the team through code reviews and workshops are also essential aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with performance optimization and a track record of diagnosing and preventing system bottlenecks. Strong backend development skills with Rust as a core expertise are required, along with deep knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js; Dart experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with C# or Go is a plus. Expertise in cloud computing (AWS) and cloud-native environments, as well as a proven track record in designing and deploying distributed systems using modern design patterns, are also necessary.
