Staff Software Engineer, Forward Deployed

As a Staff Software Engineer, Forward Deployed at fal, you will work directly with enterprise customers to deploy, scale, and operationalize their AI workloads on fal's platform. This role bridges Sales, Product, and Infrastructure teams, ensuring seamless integration and success for enterprise accounts.

Key responsibilities include joining enterprise onboarding calls, acting as the technical owner for deployments, assisting customers in integrating their models into fal Serverless, debugging issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers, translating customer feedback into actionable product specifications, and building custom proofs-of-concept to facilitate adoption.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong engineering background with proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and Next.js. Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineer or DevRel Engineer is essential. The role requires comfort in addressing ambiguous customer problems, clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a high ownership mentality to ensure customer success.

Compensation for this position ranges from $150,000 to $230,000, accompanied by equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Additional perks include relocation assistance to San Francisco, health, dental, and vision insurance, and regular team events and offsites.
