Strategic Finance Manager
The Strategic Finance Manager at Workstream will lead the company's financial planning, reporting, and systems infrastructure. This role is integral to enabling financial visibility across the organization and supporting informed, data-driven decisions at every level. The position is based in the Bay Area, requiring regular in-office collaboration in San Francisco and/or Menlo Park.
Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted partner to department leaders, proactively identifying opportunities to improve financial performance, managing budgets, and making data-driven decisions. The role involves delivering streamlined, consistent, and insightful actuals versus budget reporting across all departments, translating complex financial data into clear narratives for different audiences. Additionally, the manager will lead the adoption and integration of AI tools to automate financial processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance financial modeling capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of FP&A or finance experience, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth environment. A strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes is essential. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling is required, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with AI tools for financial analysis and familiarity with SaaS financial metrics are also important.
