In this high-impact generalist strategy role, the Strategy Manager works across Canva's strategic landscape, including product innovation, market expansion, go-to-market strategies, and commercial initiatives. Responsibilities include tackling complex strategic challenges, leading projects to develop near- and long-term strategies, approaching ambiguous problems with structured methodologies, proactively identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with strategy and data peers, and aligning cross-functional teams and senior leaders to prioritize and solve high-impact challenges.
The ideal candidate possesses 5-8 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, product management, or product growth, preferably within a high-growth tech or startup environment. Essential skills include exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, strong communication skills to simplify complexity, the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders, comfort with data-driven decision-making, and a self-starting, collaborative approach in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. A genuine curiosity about product growth and business model scaling is also valued.
