Tactile Sensing & Dexterous Manipulation Engineer (Robotics)
Hyphen Connect is seeking a Tactile Sensing & Dexterous Manipulation Engineer to enhance the capabilities of high-resolution tactile sensors and dexterous robotic systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects to improve robotic perception and manipulation, contributing to innovative solutions in the field of robotics.
Key responsibilities include processing data from high-resolution tactile sensors and force-torque arrays, implementing slip-detection and compliant control algorithms, and training multi-fingered grasping policies for unknown objects. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tactile sensing solutions into robotic platforms and conduct experiments to validate system performance.
The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of contact mechanics and robotic grasping, experience with tactile sensors such as GelSight or BioTac, and a background in soft robotics or dexterous manipulation. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or C++, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required.
