Team Leader - Volatiles and Air Testing
Eurofins is seeking a Team Leader for Volatiles and Air Testing to oversee a team of laboratory scientists and technicians specializing in air toxics analysis. This full-time, permanent position is based in Dandenong South, Victoria, operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. The Team Leader will manage laboratory workflows related to sampling media extraction, sample preparation, and instrumental analysis. Responsibilities include maintaining and managing analytical instruments such as GC-MS and thermal desorption systems, reviewing and approving laboratory data and technical reports, and upholding laboratory safety standards in compliance with relevant accreditations. Ensuring adherence to laboratory quality systems, including ISO/IEC 17025, and overseeing method validation requirements are also key aspects of the role.
Candidates must possess a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline, along with significant laboratory experience in analyzing air toxics or environmental contaminants. Proficiency in gas chromatography techniques (GC-MS, GC-FID) or similar analytical instrumentation is essential. Demonstrated experience in supervising laboratory staff or managing technical teams, coupled with a strong understanding of laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures, is required.
