Eurofins Genomics is seeking a Junior Technical Assistant (m/w/d) to join our Sequencing Team in Cologne. As part of a dynamic and innovative life sciences company, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge genomic solutions in a collaborative environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for conducting analyses, including sample reception, processing, and data production. You will operate and maintain DNA sequencing systems, apply various sequencing methods, and utilize pipetting robots alongside our proprietary laboratory information technology. Additionally, you will assist in generating quality reports, ensuring all activities adhere to established quality standards.
The ideal candidate holds a completed education as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA, LTA, MTA, CTA) or a degree in Biology or a related field. While prior laboratory experience is advantageous, we also welcome career changers. Proficiency in German, a quick grasp of new concepts, teamwork, and a meticulous, quality-conscious work approach are essential. Organizational skills, structured work methods, and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
