Technician I - ID LSS
Eurofins is seeking a Technician I to join our Infectious Disease Laboratory Support Services (ID LSS) team. The Technician I will be responsible for managing pre-analytical processes throughout the laboratory specimen lifecycle. Key duties include collecting, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving specimens. The role also involves interfacing with clients to resolve specimen-related issues, recommending improvements to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies, and collaborating with Quality Assurance to address client complaints by investigating problems and proposing solutions. Additionally, the technician will assist with routine operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have 0 to 2 years of experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory setting. Strong customer service, communication, and analytical skills are essential. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of provided safety clothing and equipment, and compliance with Eurofins DPT’s quality management system, which emphasizes good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.
The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
