Technician I - Mico LSS
Eurofins is seeking a Technician I for its Micro LSS team, responsible for managing pre-analytical processes in the laboratory specimen lifecycle. This role involves working within a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations. The Technician I will handle tasks such as specimen collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving. The role includes interfacing with clients to resolve specimen issues, recommending improvements to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies, and collaborating with Quality Assurance to address client complaints by investigating problems and proposing solutions. Additionally, the technician will assist with routine operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have 0 to 2 years of experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory testing environment. Strong customer service, communication, and analytical skills are essential. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, including the use of provided safety clothing and equipment, and compliance with Eurofins DPT’s quality management system, which emphasizes good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00. The schedule includes training from Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (first shift), and permanent hours from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (second shift).
