Technician I - Micro LSS
The Technician I - Micro LSS position at Eurofins involves managing pre-analytical processes within the laboratory specimen lifecycle, including collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving. The role requires interfacing with clients to resolve specimen issues and recommending changes to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies. The technician is also expected to assist the department with routine operations and maintain accurate recordkeeping in line with the company's quality management system.
Key responsibilities include managing the pre-analytical processes of laboratory specimens, such as collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archiving. The technician will interface with clients to resolve specimen issues, recommend changes to enhance pre-analytical efficiencies, and work with Quality Assurance to address client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management. Additional duties involve assisting the department with routine operations and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 0 to 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory testing environment. Strong customer service skills, as well as strong communication and analytical skills, are essential. The technician must be new to the clinical laboratory testing environment and possess the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Compensation for this role ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. The training schedule is Wednesday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (first shift), transitioning to a permanent schedule of Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (second shift).
