Axiom, a global leader in alternative legal services, is collaborating with a prominent telecommunications and technology company to find an experienced regulatory lawyer for a full-time, 9 to 12-month position based in Sydney, Australia. This role offers the opportunity to work with a high-caliber team, providing strategic and practical legal guidance to a diverse group of internal stakeholders.

The Telco Regulatory Counsel will be responsible for delivering timely, strategic, and commercially focused legal advice to support regulatory uplift programs, business decision-making, compliance, and customer outcomes. The role involves ensuring compliance with telecommunications laws, industry codes, and emerging digital platform regulations, managing regulatory enforcement matters, and promoting legal and regulatory compliance through team training and education.

Candidates should be qualified Australian solicitors with over five years of legal experience, specializing in regulatory and telecommunications matters. Experience in telecommunications or regulatory fields, adeptness in fast-paced environments, and strong skills in drafting, negotiation, project management, and communication are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication across all organizational levels are also required.
