Texas Healthcare Risk Management and Compliance Specialist - JD preferred

Axiom is seeking a Risk Management and Compliance Specialist with extensive experience in Texas hospital systems. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within healthcare settings to promote a culture of safety and compliance. The position is available remotely or in Houston, TX.

Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing potential risks in healthcare settings, developing and implementing strategic risk mitigation plans, managing legal and regulatory compliance, insurance policies, and claims processing, and collaborating with various departments to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Candidates should have a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification, with a Juris Doctor (JD) preferred but not required. A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in Texas healthcare systems, including expertise in clinical/patient safety, risk financing, legal and regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, and claims/litigation management, is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are also required.
