Trademark Paralegal
The Trademark Paralegal will join Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s Legal team, providing support on a broad range of matters related to the company's Intellectual Property. This role reports to the Lead IP Paralegal and collaborates closely with the IP Trademark Attorneys, contributing to the protection and management of the company's global trademark portfolio.
Key responsibilities include conducting a high volume of domestic and international clearance searches, analyzing watch notices and search reports, and reviewing products and marketing materials for potential IP issues. The paralegal will assist with filing and prosecuting trademark and copyright applications, investigate potential infringements, maintain internal IP charts and databases, and prepare draft correspondence and documents for attorney review. Effective communication with in-house clients and support on other IP, project-based, and administrative matters are also essential aspects of the role.
Candidates should have 3-5+ years of paralegal or administrative experience, with a bachelor's degree or related experience preferred. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Proficiency in multi-tasking, prioritization, and clear verbal and written communication is essential. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and discretion is also crucial.
