Treasurer
Lila Sciences is seeking a strategic and operationally rigorous Treasurer to build and lead a world-class treasury function capable of supporting a multi-entity, capital-intensive, rapidly expanding organization. This role will own the company’s treasury strategy and operations, including liquidity management, banking relationships, risk management, and investment strategy.
Key responsibilities include building and owning global cash forecasting, optimizing cash deployment across entities, designing and implementing scalable treasury systems and controls, and overseeing global payment operations to ensure strong internal controls and fraud prevention. The Treasurer will also design and execute short-term investment strategies for excess liquidity, refine policies for money market funds and treasuries, and manage banking relationships. Additionally, the role involves building treasury processes that scale to a multi-billion dollar platform, managing banking platforms and approval workflows, and partnering closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Operations teams.
The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of progressive treasury experience, particularly in high-growth, venture-backed, or capital-intensive environments. A strong understanding of venture debt, structured financing, and equipment leasing is essential, along with experience managing significant cash balances and complex capital structures. Deep banking network and negotiation experience are required, and familiarity with multi-entity and international treasury operations is preferred. Strong analytical and modeling skills, as well as the ability to operate both strategically and tactically, are crucial.
Lila Sciences offers competitive compensation, including bonus potential and generous early equity. The expected base salary range for this position is $168,000 - $238,000 USD, with the final offer reflecting the candidate's unique background, expertise, and impact.
