Vice President, Quant Developer
Galaxy is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to join its Crypto trading desk. This role involves collaborating with traders, quantitative analysts, and developers to design, implement, and optimize market-making and quantitative trading strategies within the dynamic digital asset market.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain high-performance trading algorithms and models for cryptocurrency markets. Responsibilities include optimizing existing trading systems for speed, reliability, and scalability, integrating new data sources to ensure data integrity, and monitoring live trading systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance. Additionally, the role involves staying abreast of advancements in quantitative finance, software development, and crypto markets, and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Candidates should have experience working in algorithmic trading environments using Java, knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing, and familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments. Proven experience in developing and implementing quantitative models and trading algorithms, strong programming skills in Java, and experience with high-frequency or low-latency trading systems are essential. Experience working on an FX or cryptocurrency trading desk and integrating strategies on DeFi platforms (SOL/ETH) is also required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
