VP, Java Electronic Trading Developer

Galaxy is seeking a Vice President, Java Electronic Trading Developer to join our New York trading technology team. This role involves building the next generation of cryptocurrency trading systems within a company that leads in digital assets and data center infrastructure. Galaxy operates at the intersection of finance and technology, providing solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining low-latency pricing and trading systems in a Linux environment. Key responsibilities include application performance profiling and optimization, as well as ensuring the robustness and efficiency of order management systems, market connectivity, and price distribution mechanisms.

Candidates should possess excellent core Java skills, exceptional knowledge of concurrency and multithreaded programming, and experience in developing low-latency systems. The ability to work independently, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is essential.

Galaxy offers a competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $200,000, along with a discretionary bonus.
