VP, Quantitative Developer
The Vice President, Quantitative Developer will join Galaxy's Crypto trading desk, collaborating with traders, quantitative analysts, and developers to design, implement, and optimize market-making and quantitative trading strategies. This role is integral to Galaxy's mission of bridging the gap between the crypto and institutional worlds, leveraging blockchain and digital asset innovations to transform value movement globally.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-performance trading algorithms and models for crypto markets, translating trading strategies into efficient code, optimizing trading systems for speed and reliability, integrating new data sources to ensure data integrity, and monitoring live trading systems to minimize downtime. The role also involves staying abreast of advancements in quantitative finance and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Candidates should possess experience in algorithmic trading environments using Java, knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing, familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments, and a proven track record in developing and implementing quantitative models and trading algorithms. Strong programming skills in Java, experience with high-frequency/low-latency trading systems, and experience on an FX or cryptocurrency trading desk are essential. Additionally, experience in integrating and executing strategies on DeFi platforms (SOL/ETH) and excellent communication skills are required.
