VP, Software Engineering
Diligent Corporation is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to lead its global engineering organization. This strategic role involves partnering with Product Management to shape the vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business outcomes. The VP will oversee multiple teams and products within Diligent's Technology organization, setting technical and organizational strategies, and being accountable for delivery, reliability, security, and overall performance.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the long-term engineering vision, leading global engineering teams through Directors and Managers, and collaborating with Executive Leadership, Product, UX, Security, Data, and Customer teams to shape product strategy and technology investments. The VP will drive organizational transformation through AI-first thinking, embedding AI capabilities into engineering practices, software development, customer experiences, and business operations. Additionally, the role involves establishing technology governance, engineering standards, architectural direction, and operational metrics across the organization.
Candidates should have over 15 years of progressive software engineering leadership experience, including at least 5 years leading large, global engineering organizations. Proven success in leading engineering organizations supporting enterprise SaaS products at significant scale is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern software engineering, including cloud-native architectures, platform engineering, DevOps, AI/ML technologies, and engineering operational excellence. Experience in leading organizational transformation, including AI adoption and large-scale technology modernization initiatives, is highly desirable.
