The Werkstudent Sanger Sequencing (m/w/d) position at Eurofins is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity targeted at students interested in gaining practical laboratory experience. As part of the Sanger Sequencing team, the successful candidate will contribute to the workflow of a state-of-the-art genetics laboratory, directly supporting Eurofins' commitment to precision and quality in genetic analysis.
In this role, the student will assist with various aspects of sample preparation, routine laboratory tasks, and the sequencing workflow under supervision. Key day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reagents, handling and documenting biological samples, operating sequencing instruments, and supporting data entry and result validation. Collaboration with experienced laboratory professionals and adherence to standard operating procedures are central to ensuring high-quality results for clients.
Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant scientific or technical degree program such as biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field. A foundational understanding of molecular biology methods and laboratory safety is required, along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Previous laboratory experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
