Workers' Compensation Attorney
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our growing practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a rapidly expanding statewide workers’ compensation practice within the firm. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for clients and ensuring they receive the justice they deserve.
In this position, you will manage a substantial and complex caseload, handling all aspects of workers' compensation cases and hearings. Your responsibilities will include drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, demands, motions, and memoranda. You will guide clients through the case process, interact with expert witnesses—including conducting conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits—and prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
The ideal candidate will possess a law degree from a fully accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar Association. A minimum of three years of experience in workers' compensation is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage a high volume of cases and hearings, exhibit excellent client service and communication skills, and be self-starters driven by long-term career goals. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills are essential.
