Workers' Compensation Attorney
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing practice in Michigan. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and develop a new, rapidly expanding statewide workers' compensation practice within the firm. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to providing exceptional legal services to clients across Michigan.
In this position, the attorney will manage a substantial and complex caseload, handling all aspects of workers' compensation cases and hearings. Responsibilities include drafting and filing litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, responses, demands, motions, and memoranda. The attorney will guide clients through the legal process, interact with expert witnesses—including conducting conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits—and prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Candidates must possess a law degree from a fully accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with the Michigan State Bar Association. A minimum of three years of workers' compensation experience is required, along with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and hearings. Excellent client service and communication skills, superior writing and oral advocacy abilities, and a self-starter attitude driven by long-term career goals are essential for success in this role.
Morgan & Morgan offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. This compensation package is designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its team members.
Joining Morgan & Morgan provides an opportunity to be part of a firm that has recovered over $25 billion on behalf of clients since 1988, with more than $8 billion recouped in the past two years alone. The firm has also significantly increased its national marketing efforts, doubling its out-of-home marketing spend to over $500 million since 2023. Attorneys have access to world-class case docket management software, litigation resources, and a wealth of benefits aimed at optimizing case development and professional growth.
