Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Litigation Paralegal to join our Miami, Florida office. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will collaborate closely with our skilled attorneys, providing essential support throughout all phases of the litigation process. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a team dedicated to advocating for clients in workers' compensation cases.

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist attorneys with various discovery requests. Effective communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties is also a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program. A minimum of two years of litigation experience is preferred, particularly in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workloads with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings, and a strong understanding of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are also required.
