The Audio-Visual Technician role at eScribers in Dublin involves maintaining and relocating computing and recording equipment, including laptops, audio mixers, microphones, and cabling. As part of the Dublin IT Team, the technician will deploy, install, and maintain electronic court reporting equipment, set up audio-related equipment, test and manage company software, and transfer and upload audio to company systems. eScribers, established in 2005, is a leader in reporting and transcription services for courts and government agencies across the US, UK, and Ireland, with offices in Phoenix, Virginia, Maryland, London, Dublin, and Israel.
Key responsibilities include assisting in maintaining recording systems by installing and modifying hardware such as laptops, desktops, audio mixers, microphones, and associated cabling. The technician will deploy laptops and recording solutions to courtrooms and clients, provide support and troubleshoot issues with desktops, laptops, software, and court reporting equipment for end users. Additionally, the role involves transferring and uploading audio to company systems, ensuring optimal network and computer function through periodic diagnostics and testing, and collaborating with the IT Department and management to review and analyze hardware and software requirements.
Required qualifications include excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and business applications, strong technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment, and proficiency in setting up and operating audio-visual equipment for various settings such as conferences, meetings, live hearings, and court hearings. The candidate should have a solid understanding of audio-visual connectivity, cabling, and signal flow, experience in setting up and troubleshooting computer USB audio mixers, microphones, and other court reporting-related audio equipment. Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-oriented mindset, fluency in English, and strong communication skills are also essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with experience in computer maintenance and/or help desk support. Experience with ForTheRecord FTR Reporter is considered an advantage.
The offered salary ranges from €30,000 to €32,000 annually, based on experience. All training will be provided on-site.
