Account Executive
As an Account Executive at Diligent Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by expanding product adoption among existing customers and introducing new clients to our platform. This high-impact position requires strategic vision, proactive relationship-building, and a commitment to excellence. You will be responsible for engaging prospects, managing a robust pipeline, delivering accurate forecasts, and closing deals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will lead account planning, coordinate internal collaboration, and leverage your expertise to enhance customer success and revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include proactively building deep knowledge of Diligent’s products, solutions, strategy, and business priorities. You will be responsible for prospecting new and existing business within the designated vertical or territory, particularly focusing on complex accounts with longer sales cycles. Adopting a solutions-selling approach, you will understand customer needs and develop solutions through the lens of the Diligent One Platform. Building deep relationships with prospects and customers, you will consistently honor commitments and connect customers to internal stakeholders to foster product growth. Additionally, you will develop and execute account plans to ensure revenue targets, quotas, and customer business needs are met, collaborating with key stakeholders to drive integrated joint account wins for mutual business growth.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of success in account management, new business acquisition, and exceeding revenue targets, ideally within highly regulated industries, SaaS, or the GRC space. Proven experience in sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, and Command of the Message is essential. The ability to build trust and influence senior leaders and stakeholders at all organizational levels is crucial. A passion for continuous learning and a sharp understanding of both internal products and external industry trends are important. Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills that inspire confidence and drive outcomes are required. A knack for aligning technology solutions with business objectives to deliver measurable value is also necessary. Self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven approach to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are key attributes. Fluency in the German language is required.
