Account Executive - NSW
Diligent Corporation is seeking an Account Executive to drive revenue growth and deepen customer engagement in New South Wales, Australia. This role involves expanding product adoption among existing clients and introducing new clients to Diligent's governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) SaaS solutions. As an individual contributor, the Account Executive will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer success.
Key responsibilities include proactively building deep knowledge of Diligent's products and business priorities, prospecting new and existing business within the designated territory, and adopting a solutions-selling approach to address customer needs. The role also involves developing and executing account plans to meet revenue targets, coordinating with sales stakeholders to prioritize actions for multiple accounts, and creating specialized business plans to generate new business and upsell opportunities. Additionally, the Account Executive will manage the end-to-end sales cycle using Diligent's approved sales methodology and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in account management and new business acquisition, preferably within highly regulated industries or the SaaS/GRC space. Proficiency in sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, and Command of the Message is required. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential, along with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. A passion for continuous learning and a deep understanding of both internal products and external industry trends are also important.
