Account Executive, SMB
Smartsheet is seeking a motivated and passionate Account Executive to join our Commercial Sales Team, focusing on Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing software sales and driving expansion across a designated territory of SMB accounts. As a proactive and curious member of the team, you will identify growth opportunities for clients, often before they recognize a need themselves. This remote position reports to a Manager within the Commercial Sales team.
Your primary responsibilities will include building and managing a sales pipeline to meet or exceed software and services sales quotas within your assigned book of business. You will execute a solution-based sales process involving multiple internal and external stakeholders within growth accounts ranging from 50 to 200 employees. Additionally, you will develop and prospect new opportunities with existing customers by analyzing and identifying high-value needs across various departments and lines of business. Leveraging existing relationships to expand Smartsheet's footprint and drive revenue growth during renewals will also be a key aspect of your role.
To be successful in this position, you should have at least 3 years of SaaS full-cycle sales experience, consistently exceeding quotas while working with commercial accounts. Experience in managing customer relationships within a B2B environment is essential. A thorough understanding of the SaaS evaluation process and the ability to execute each stage of the sales cycle are required. Proficiency in using CRM and business intelligence software, such as Salesforce and Tableau, to track daily activities and gain territory insights is also necessary. A passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary education, is preferred.
Smartsheet offers a competitive base salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 USD, along with a market-competitive incentive opportunity.
