Account Executive - Staking
Nansen is seeking an Account Executive to lead the sales cycle within the staking vertical. This role involves engaging with blockchain foundations, ecosystem teams, and institutional holders to drive partnerships and revenue growth. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in New York.
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, closing, renewing, and expanding partnerships with blockchain foundations and ecosystem teams. Key duties include launching new validator ecosystems, negotiating commercial terms, activating delegations, and executing go-to-market strategies. The role also involves identifying and engaging institutional holders and ecosystem leads in need of staking infrastructure and validator partnerships, as well as tracking new chain launches and protocol developments to uncover emerging opportunities. Collaboration with product, marketing, and customer success teams is essential to close complex deals and maintain strong client relationships.
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record in quota attainment, deal size, and account growth. A deep understanding of the crypto ecosystem, including key players, capital flows, and significant protocols, is required. At least one year of experience in staking-specific business development or sales is necessary, encompassing knowledge of validators, liquid staking protocols, and institutional staking infrastructure. The role requires comfort in working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to navigate complex deals. Proficiency in using AI tools for tasks such as prospecting research, call preparation, and deal intelligence is also expected. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US at the time of application.
