Blockchain Compliance Analyst

The company is seeking a Blockchain Compliance Analyst to join their team in Bhutan. This role focuses on understanding on-chain fund movements and identifying discrepancies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
As a Blockchain Compliance Analyst at Nansen, your primary responsibilities will include conducting blockchain forensics to trace fund flows, identify risk patterns, and assess exposure to designated risk categories across various chains. You will also be involved in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program by running transaction monitoring for clients, investigating alerts from on-chain monitoring systems, performing end-to-end case investigations, and documenting findings. Additionally, you will build, monitor, and maintain compliance automations to scale these programs effectively.
The ideal candidate should possess a genuine curiosity about blockchain mechanics and an analytical mindset capable of identifying patterns and connecting disparate data points. Attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to take ownership and initiative are essential. Experience with blockchain analytics tools and explorers, familiarity with AML frameworks, and proficiency in SQL or Python are advantageous. Prior exposure to decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, wallets, or exchange flows is also beneficial.
