AI Amplify Researcher

The AI Amplify Researcher role at Metabit Technology LLC is part of the elite Amplify Team, dedicated to building AI-native engineering infrastructure. The team focuses on designing and implementing end-to-end AI coding agent systems that significantly enhance engineer productivity. Metabit emphasizes the integration of cutting-edge open-source technologies to stay aligned with the global AI community and is committed to progressively open-sourcing its secure and efficient AI-native engineering infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include researching LLM-based coding agents, exploring AI's interaction with large codebases and development toolchains, and designing new agent architectures to advance AI-automated software development. The role also involves building evaluation frameworks for coding agent capabilities, rapidly prototyping research ideas in engineering environments, analyzing frontier models, reproducing recent research results, collaborating with engineering teams to implement research outcomes, and participating in the broader research community through open-source contributions and technical publications.

Candidates are expected to have a strong foundation in computer science, a keen interest in LLMs, agent systems, and AI coding, and project experience with LLMs or AI agents. Essential skills include the ability to design experiments and systematically evaluate AI system capabilities, excellent programming skills (preferably in Python), and the capacity to quickly understand and implement new technologies. Self-driven individuals with a passion for exploring open-ended problems are highly valued.

Additional qualifications that are advantageous include research experience in LLMs, code models, program synthesis, or automated debugging; publications or technical talks in machine learning, systems, or software engineering; familiarity with large codebases or developer infrastructure; contributions to open-source AI projects; and experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, SWE-agent, or Devin.
