AI Investment Partner (Sr Director), Taiwan
Appier is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Investment Partner to join its Strategy Team in Taipei, Taiwan. This senior leadership role focuses on driving Appier's strategic investments in early-stage startups, particularly those developing innovative technologies in agentic AI. The position involves close collaboration with C-level leadership to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities that align with Appier's mission of making AI accessible and impactful for businesses.
The Investment Partner will lead the entire investment process, from sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to executing deals and managing the portfolio. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive due diligence—covering market analysis, competitive landscape, technology assessment, financial modeling, and team evaluation. The role also entails presenting investment recommendations to Appier's leadership, negotiating investment terms, and supporting portfolio companies post-investment by providing strategic guidance and fostering synergies with Appier's products and teams.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital, private equity, or strategic investment roles, with a proven track record in early-stage technology investments. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, particularly in early-stage valuations, are essential. A deep understanding of the AI, advertising technology, and marketing technology sectors is required, along with excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin. An established network within the global startup and venture capital communities is highly desirable.
