AI Systems & Data Engineer
Diligent Corporation is seeking an AI Systems & Data Engineer to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. This role is integral to our HR transformation journey, focusing on redesigning the employee experience through innovative technology solutions. The position is a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension, reporting to the Senior Director of HR AI & Systems Transformation based in London.
The AI Systems & Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions that enhance our HR systems. Key duties include writing Python scripts for complex data migrations from Oracle HCM and Greenhouse to Workday, building AI-powered tools such as conversational agents and self-service platforms, designing scalable workflow automations using platforms like Workato, and creating data visualizations to support data-driven decision-making within HR. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting data quality issues and ensuring seamless integration across the HR tech stack.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of hands-on experience in building data pipelines, integrations, or automation systems. Proficiency in Python, experience with APIs (REST, SOAP), and familiarity with SQL and database concepts are essential. Experience with automation platforms such as Workato, as well as AI agents or LLM-powered applications, is highly desirable. A strong understanding of enterprise HRIS platforms like Workday or Oracle HCM and HR data structures is also required. The candidate should be self-directed, outcome-focused, and possess excellent communication skills.
