Analyst (with Python)

Eqvilent is seeking a highly attentive and technically proficient Analyst with strong Python skills to join our team. This support role focuses on assisting our Quantitative Researchers by ensuring data quality, developing internal tools, and providing research assistance. The position is ideal for individuals who prefer a stable and well-structured workflow while engaging in intellectually stimulating tasks.

Key responsibilities include discovering, validating, and cleaning datasets for research and production purposes. The Analyst will monitor production systems, analyze logs to ensure correctness, support ad-hoc research and exploratory analysis tasks, and build internal utilities and automation tools using Python. Collaboration with quants and engineers to enhance research operations is also a critical aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Python with clean, readable code, solid knowledge of Pandas and NumPy, and high attention to detail, accuracy, and code quality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a willingness to dive deep into complex systems and workflows. No prior finance experience is required.
