Analytics Intern
The Analytics Intern position at WPP Media offers a unique opportunity to join the Analytics Delivery Team within the Malaysia Data Hub. WPP Media is WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, dedicated to delivering creative personalization at scale by integrating media, data, and partnerships. This role is designed for Master's level students seeking hands-on experience in a global media organization.
As an Analytics Intern, you will be responsible for building and enhancing Power BI dashboards, writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and validation, and automating workflows using Python. Your day-to-day tasks will include supporting analytics delivery by converting business needs into clear KPIs, performing data quality checks, and collaborating with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders in an agile environment.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. Essential skills include strong experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling), proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions), and Python (Pandas, NumPy, scripting). A solid understanding of analytics concepts such as KPIs, trends, segmentation, and reporting logic is also required.
This internship offers real-world experience in delivering analytics solutions within a global media organization. Interns will receive mentorship from experienced analytics professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to production dashboards and measurable business outcomes. Additionally, there is exposure to modern cloud analytics stacks, depending on project requirements.
