Associate, Corporate Strategy

The Associate will be a key member of Focus Financial Partners' core strategy team, overseeing corporate development and M&A activities. This role involves participating in all stages of the deal process, from proposal to close, and working closely with senior team members to drive deals to completion. The position is based in New York, NY; Austin, TX; or San Francisco, CA.

Key responsibilities include reviewing Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) to assess fit, conducting financial due diligence and P&L scoping for prospective deals, structuring and modeling deal terms, preparing and presenting Investment Committee memorandums and term sheets, and coordinating across Focus' corporate and business line teams. The Associate will also assist senior team members throughout the deal process, gaining cross-functional exposure to legal, finance, and other teams.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree from a top university or college and have 2-3 years of full-time work experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategic consulting. Strong analytical skills, competency in financial statement analysis, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to present and discuss analysis/findings with various stakeholders are essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and confidence to take initiative.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000 and $120,000. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package, which may also include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
