Associate Director, Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management
Cytokinetics, a late-stage specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an Associate Director of Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management to join their Global Supply Chain & Technical Operations team. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships and ensuring that partners meet the company's high standards for quality and innovation. The position is based in Dublin, Ireland, and involves collaboration with various departments to support the company's mission of developing treatments for cardiac muscle performance diseases.
The Associate Director will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing and network strategies aligned with Global Supply Chain & Technical Operations goals. Key duties include serving as the primary commercial contact for assigned Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), laboratories, and critical suppliers; conducting marketplace assessments and supplier segmentation; leading supplier selection and contract negotiations; and monitoring supplier performance using standard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the role involves supporting supplier audits, developing risk management processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance supplier value, cost, quality, and service.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, with an advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain, preferably within the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry, is required. The role demands a strong understanding of product development, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing, and related regulations, as well as proven expertise in manufacturing cost benchmarks and pricing strategies for small molecule manufacturing. Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills are essential, along with experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Oracle. The position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Cytokinetics offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $189,720 to $221,340 per year, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
