Associate General Counsel, Privacy & Product
As an Associate General Counsel, Privacy & Product at Webflow, you will lead the company's global privacy and product legal strategy. This role involves developing privacy policies, data handling practices, compliance programs, and scalable legal processes. You will manage and develop a team of privacy and product counsel, setting priorities and building a high-trust, high-output legal function.
Key responsibilities include partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into the product development lifecycle. You will advise on new features, platform capabilities, product terms, and go-to-market strategies. Additionally, you will oversee privacy reviews, data subject request processes, and cross-functional risk mitigation efforts with Security, Engineering, and Operations.
The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school and at least one active U.S. state bar membership. A minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in-house at a technology company, is required. Deep expertise in global privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, along with hands-on experience building and operating privacy compliance programs in a technology environment, is essential.
Compensation for this role varies based on geographic location. In the United States, the base pay ranges from $211,200 to $300,000, depending on the zone. This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program, with target amounts varying by career level and payouts based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.
