Associate Software Engineer- (Python)
As an Associate Software Engineer at Energy Exemplar, you will be part of the Development team at the Indian Development Centre (IDC), reporting to the Software Engineering Manager. In this position, you will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software systems, focusing on large-scale data processing. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in the development, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines, supporting efforts to improve data reliability and performance, and working with data analysts and data scientists to manage datasets used in analysis and applications. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and performance.
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in Python programming with a basic understanding of data structures and algorithms. Exposure to developing or maintaining data pipelines for structured or unstructured datasets is essential. Familiarity with Python-based data processing and web scraping tools, such as Beautiful Soup, is desirable. Basic knowledge or exposure to cloud-based data technologies like Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Databricks is advantageous. A working knowledge of SQL or similar relational databases is required, and exposure to additional programming languages such as C# or Java is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to write clean, maintainable code, and good communication and collaboration skills are essential.
