Automation Engineer - Networking

Cato Networks is seeking a visionary Automation Engineer to join our Automation team in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using our Java-based framework. These tests cover various aspects of the product, including complex networking topologies, traffic, security rules, and user authentication scenarios. Your work will be integral to ensuring the quality and robustness of our evolving product.

Key responsibilities include defining, designing, and implementing automated regression and sanity tests, identifying and designing tools for efficient automated testing, and setting up and maintaining test automation environments and processes. Additionally, you will develop automation infrastructure layers and libraries to support these efforts.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience implementing automated tests for multi-layered products, deep knowledge in network engineering, and a strong understanding of networking concepts and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, DNS, and DHCP. Hands-on experience with Linux, object-oriented design and coding (preferably in Java), and experience with virtual environments like ESX, AWS, or Azure are also required. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, along with an academic degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
