Benefits Specialist
Metropolis is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and leave of absence programs. This role involves assisting employees with health and welfare benefits enrollment and guiding them through the leave process. The Benefits Specialist will ensure accurate administration, thorough documentation, and consistent system alignment across all benefits and leave functions.
Key responsibilities include managing leave administration processes by preparing and submitting standard leave documents, evaluating eligibility for various leave types such as ADA, FMLA, state, and company-specific leaves, and administering benefits processes including timely processing of enrollments, changes, and terminations. Additionally, the role involves verifying employee documentation, managing benefits and leave inboxes with prompt and professional responses, reconciling vendor reports to ensure data accuracy, and maintaining updates across all HRIS, vendor, and tracking systems.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace tools, familiarity with HRIS systems and reporting, and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information professionally. Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks are essential for success in this role.
Metropolis offers a competitive compensation package, including an hourly wage ranging from $24.00 to $29.00, determined by qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. The total compensation package may also include healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, and bonus plans.
