Business Development Manager – Global Regulatory Investigations & Financial Crime (RIFC)
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with over 30 offices worldwide, is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Global Regulatory Investigations & Financial Crime (RIFC) group in the Americas. This role is integral to the firm's ambitious global strategy, focusing on client-centric growth and market expansion. The RIFC group, part of the firm's Global Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, offers comprehensive support to financial institutions, corporations, governments, and individuals on complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory and criminal matters.
In this hands-on position, the Business Development Manager will collaborate directly with RIFC lawyers across the Americas to develop and implement business development and marketing plans aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth research on regional market trends, clients, and competitors; supporting the creation and promotion of RIFC products and initiatives; and proactively identifying market opportunities. The role also involves organizing client events, seminars, and conferences, as well as overseeing marketing communications projects to enhance the group's reputation and visibility.
Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of professional services business development experience, preferably within a law firm, and a strong understanding of regulatory investigations and financial crime. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline is required. The role demands excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build advisory relationships with partners and work effectively with lawyers at all seniority levels. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and adhere to the firm's Agile Working Policy, which requires working from the office at least three days each calendar week.
The compensation package for this role includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $225,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
